Learn to change unhelpful postural habits and automatic reactions to remove unconscious, self-imposed limitations! The Alexander Technique offers a way to improve mind-body awareness for a healthy head-spine relationship and to let go of unconscious patterns of excess tension. This re-education of the whole mind-body self opens the door to freer and easier movement, effortless upright posture, greater presence, improved clarity of thought and intention, and naturally overcoming pain, stiffness and stress. We learn to pay attention to ourselves in activity so that we can use our bodies in the way they were designed to be used and stop getting in our own way. This workshop is directed toward musicians in particular, but non-musicians are welcome to participate as well.
