*Holotropic Breathwork

Join Holotropic Breathwork certified facilitators Jay Dufrechou & Kirsten Kairos for an intimate and powerful weekend of journeying, sound healing and transformation within a confidential and supportive setting.

Holotropic Breathwork is a safe method for self-exploration and healing through an expanded state of awareness developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof. Using active breath, evocative music, integrative arts and group process, this world-renowned modality offers opportunities for becoming more familiar with our vast inner landscape, tapping our intrinsic healing wisdom, and entering a path of deep transformation. Introduction and community forming on Friday evening, followed by a full day of Holotropic Breathwork (experienced in two sessions, one as breather, and one as sitter) on Saturday. Light lunch provided.

Jay Dufrechou is a certified facilitator of Holotropic Breathwork and has been on facilitation teams in the United States, United Kingdom, India and China. With a doctoral degree in transpersonal psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now Sofia University), he has worked as adjunct faculty at ITP/Sofia and the California Institute of Integral Studies. Jay is the author of Moving through Grief, Reconnecting with Nature, which includes stories from people around the world who experience grief, weeping or other deep emotions in response to intimate connection with the natural world. He is one of the founders of The Institute of Transpersonal and Archetypal Studies (ITAS), which offers workshops on a range of transpersonal topics, including archetypal astrology and the psychologies of Carl Jung and Stanislav Grof. Jay lives in Helena, where he works statewide as an attorney-mediator in addition to coordinating and facilitating transpersonal experiential and educational offerings in a variety of national and international locales.

An accomplished musician and voice actress, Kirsten Kairos brings the healing experience of sound and expanded awareness to people around the United States through several modalities. In addition to certification as a Holotropic Breathwork practitioner, Kirsten recently completed the first level of training as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and is studying Equine Gestalt Coaching through Touched by a Horse. Offering experiences of Wilderness Medicine of Sound and Candlelight Sound Sanctuary, Kirsten is passionate about helping people find inner stillness and connection to nature, sound, the breath, and spirit. After living many years in New York City, Kirsten returns to the big city frequently to offer Holotropic Breathwork and perform with the soul/blues/funk group The Truthseekers. When not traveling for transpersonal offerings, Kirsten currently divides her time between one of her home towns, Indianapolis, and one of her beloved lands, New Mexico. Through Grof Transpersonal Training and several other workshop groups, she has supported hundreds of Holotropic Breathers and facilitators-in-training through deep transformational process.
